Ocean Spray Cranberries is looking for a Plant Lean/Continuous Improvement Manager (aka for Ocean Spray, Performance Excellence (PE) Manager) to join our Plant team! In this role, you will be responsible for leading performance excellence in the plant environment. You will coordinate processing, packaging, and quality activities for respective teams to drive operational capacity. You will communicate opportunities for efficiency and coach teams on best performance practices. Additionally, you will ensure teams apply performance excellence practices for optimal production capabilities.

A Day in the Life...

* Serves as operational resource to coordinate, facilitate and support the implementation of continuous improvement / lean manufacturing, Performance Excellence (PE), principles in a continuous improvement environment.
* Actively leads functional groups to determine/apply best practices and execute change that links continuous improvement opportunities with short-term tactical and long-term strategic initiatives.
* Analyze processes using established continuous improvement techniques (statistical analyses, take time studies, DOE) to optimize performance.
* Apply the Six Sigma Methodology (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and Lean Manufacturing tools to continuous improvement efforts to achieve financial and customer benefits.
* Enforces accountability with all functional groups for implementation of best practices and high performing factory initiatives.
* Establishes objectives and determines initiatives for improvement, facilitate creation of a CI environment with metrics that drive productivity and reduce waste.
* Extensive knowledge of core areas within Operations such as, production; finance, quality, planning, etc.
* Communicates progress and results as required, ensuring an on-going training discipline to maintain improvements.
* Supports and promotes food safety and quality programs and initiatives within the facility.

What We Are Looking For:

* Minimum 5 years of experience in Food/Beverage/Pharmaceutical or related industry, with 1+ in a supervisor or manager role * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Food Science, or equivalent experience * Excellent understanding of manufacturing operations with dedication to the concepts of continuous improvement * Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Access database functions and/or other statistical analysis software * Ability to manage multiple projects and Kaizen events simultaneously * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Able to work cross-functionally in team environment and at various organizational levels

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Preferred)
