THE JOB
As a Cook Helper, you will be responsible for being knowledgeable of food products.You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
DAY TO DAY
Ensure requisitions are processed properly and placed in designated area
Maintain solid knowledge of food products
Maintain knowledge of knife cutting techniques, and knife skills
Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
Regularly run for food and restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
Assist the pantry worker, cook, master cook and chef as needed in execution of service
Work as a team, assist guests and employees with their needs and inquiries
Perform other job-related duties as requested
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age, or older
Work varied shifts to include: nights, weekends, and holiday
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to apply basic knife skills for preparation
Maintain a solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
Communicate with management, chef and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and employees
Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
Able to take initiative and exhibit flexibility
Highly motivated and energetic personality
Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
