THE JOB:

As a Cook for Cucina Del Mercato, you'll be at the heart of our quick-service Italian market stalls, applying your culinary expertise to deliver fast and delicious meals for our guests. Your role is essential in ensuring our customers enjoy authentic Italian flavors with swift and efficient service.


STARTING RATE: $17.00

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Demonstrate expertise in food products and apply culinary techniques effectively in preparing dishes at various Italian-style market stalls, prioritizing quick service cooking.

  • Safely operate and utilize kitchen equipment, ensuring their proper maintenance and functionality for efficient quick-service cooking.

  • Monitor and replenish kitchen supplies and food items required for ongoing quick-service operations, ensuring seamless execution.

  • Implement proper labeling and dating procedures for products to uphold sanitation standards and ensure food safety, crucial in fast-paced quick service environments.

  • Exhibit proficiency in menu knowledge and meticulous attention to detail in plate presentation for an enhanced quick-service dining experience.

  • Collaborate with kitchen leadership and fellow staff members to ensure smooth execution of service and timely delivery of dishes in a quick-service setting.

  • Display adeptness in preparing base sauces, stocks, and soups, contributing to the authenticity and flavor of Italian cuisine while meeting quick service demands.

  • Foster teamwork by assisting guests with their needs and inquiries, including the assembly and preparation of hot food items with exceptional knife skills, enhancing the quick-service experience.

  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.

  • Works varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • One (1) year cook experience.

  • Ability to constantly stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel and squat.

  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Has formal culinary training.
